We are looking for motivated fellows to work on the mechanism of mRNA translation in pancreatic cancer. Using cutting edge sequencing technology such as RNA-seq and Ribo-seq we identify the translation landscape in cancer. We also utilize small molecule inhibitors to target protein synthesis of oncogenes such as MYC and KRAS. We are interested in understanding the regulation of oncogenic translation programs and using this knowledge to develop new therapeutics for MYC and KRAS driven malignancies. A candidate with a strong background in cancer biology and signal transduction is desired. A perfect candidate will have experience in mouse modeling, and molecular biology, and a willingness to learn and develop new technology and tools to advance cancer research.
