Host vs Virus Response Through the Lens of Ribosomes

kaminiy79

Check our recent publication in Viruses describing translational and transcriptional dynamics in Zika virus (ZIKV) and dengue virus (DENV) infected human neuronal progenitor cells (hNPCs). Briefly, the virus induces aminoacyl tRNA synthetases (ARS) and the translation activating PIM1 kinase, indicating an increase in RNA translation capacity. ZIKV triggers a BACH1/2 redox program while DENV activates the ATF/CHOP endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress program.
